The good folks aka the police, over at the John F. Kennedy Airport found nearly five pounds of cocaine concealed in the soles of sneakers packed in abandoned luggage last week.

Apparently the ‘high’-end sneakers were reportedly flown into the airport from Dominican Republic but no one ever claimed them. When the officers checked the unclaimed luggage they noticed that the sneakers were unusually heavy. Upon further investigation of the sneakers they found white powdery substance inside, which tested positive for cocaine valued at over $107,000.
