JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE BUYS MYSPACE FOR $35 MILLION

I guess after his role in that Facebook movie and the fact that Justin brought sexy back, he thinks he can now bring Myspace back. Timberlake has taken a major stake in the long-flagging social network MySpace, which he intends to make “a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect.”
Justin is part of the media group that bought Myspace, Specific Media. They bought Myspace for a whopping $35 million in cash and equity. In other words, a bunch of rich folks who didn’t feel like feeding the hungry or supplying housing for the homeless decided they would throw their money away on… Myspace. Well, let’s remember, it’s their money and I am sure they have done their bit for charity, i.e. Myspace. The deal values MySpace at a fraction of what News Corp. paid for the site six years ago and paves the way for the layoff of about half of the 500 workers. Imma just sit back and watch what color the walls gone be.
